Boot Camp of Stained Glass

Hand Painted Plasma TV Frame (black)

Custom built for your TV and hand painted using the finest artist paint available. You pick the colors and we'll do the rest.
Several measurements will be required before construction begins. An IR repeater (not included in the price) will need to be put on to your TV so that your remote will still work after the frame is put on. We can provide this part ($99.00) for you, just ask.

One Day Paint Along

One day is all you need to create this beautiful watercolor painting! All materials are included in the class cost. You only need to decide if you want your painting framed or unframed. The class will start at 10:30 a.m. and lasts for about 4 - 6 hours. This class will be held June 20.

Plasma TV frame with retractable Artwork

Plasma Tvs can now be framed using retractable art. Your Hand-Painted TV frame will be custom built to fit your TV. Your image will be transfered to canvas and mounted into the frame. You can even send us a family portrait. A remote will be provided to raise and lower the screen. A device will also be provided to allow your TV remote to work correctly.

STAINED GLASS BOOT CAMP
It's an art form that dates back hundreds of years, and still inspires people with it's beauty. Sure, windows created with tiny pieces of foil-wrapped glass look intimidating, but our stained glass boot camp will take that intimidation and throw it out the window. Melinda Pasquale will teach you how to create a 10'" x 16" inch panel. You will learn to lay out a pattern, cut glass (we've got bandages just in case...), foil, solder, and finish off your project. The skills you learn in our boot camp will enable you to make just about anything your heart desires, including those awe-inspiring church windows or Tiffany-style lamps!

Our boot camps are called that because they are pretty intensive. We offer a few different classes ranging from Two Day Boot Camps, Three Day Boot Camps, and our newest Five Week Boot Camp. They break down like this:

Two Day Boot Camps are the Original Rainbow Boot Camp. This class takes place on a Saturday and Sunday. You arrive Saturday morning at 09:00, and work until about 15:00 (that's 9:00 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m.). Sunday morning you arrive back at Rainbow at 10:00, and work until you finish your project.

Three Day Boot Camps started during the summer as a way to let you take the class, but still enjoy the summer sun over the weekend. These classes will continue to be offered throughout the year as space allows. With this boot camp, you come in one day a week from 9:00 a.m. to about 2:00 p.m. Three weeks later, you're finished boot camp!

This winter, we're offering our first ever Night Boot Camp. This session will meet once a week (from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) for five weeks. These classes will meet on Monday evenings.

Just to keep things interesting, we'll offer the various boot camps at different times. For a complete list of current offerings, search for "Boot Camp of Stained Glass" in the shopping area toward the bottom of this page.
Ok. I want to sign up. What do I do next?
Fantastic! We're happy to have you take the class! We are confident you will love the class, and be thrilled with how your project turns out. So here's what you need to do:

1. Choose your class.
At the bottom of this page, you'll find our online shopping cart. Simply search for "Boot Camp of Stained Glass"
in the Search box, or choose Stained Glass Classes from the categories drop down menu. All available boot
camp classes will be listed within the Boot Camp of Stained Glass menu.

2. Decide if you want to rent or purchase your tools.
We know the start up costs for stained glass add up quick, and want to make it affordable for everyone to
learn. You have two choices when it comes to your tool kit: rent or own.
The complete rental kit is $30, and includes use of all the tools and chemicals you'll need to complete your project. You will still need to purchase your glass, solder, foil, framing material, and hanging chain.

The Boot Camp Tool Kit is $195. You will have all the tools, chemicals, and finishing pieces for your project. The only additional purchase you will need is the glass to complete your project.

If you already own a set of tools, or borrow from a friend, please bring them to the first class so Melinda can make sure they're in good working order.

3. Choose your pattern.
We have 16 patterns available for class. When you select your pattern, you are more than welcome to
come in and use our computer to help select the glass for your piece. That leads us to the next step...

4.  Choose your glass.
We suggest you come in about a week before the start of your boot camp to choose your glass. We offer
our customers the ability to see what their pattern will look like in full color, without having to color
the entire pattern by hand. Our Rapid Resize program will let you select different glass types (Baroque,
wispy, cathedral, etc.) and colors. From there, we can help you select the glass for your project. We'll
wrap it, and store it in our classroom until your class meets. This way, you won't have to worry about
traveling with the glass or worse - accidentally breaking it!
All patterns are approximately 10" x 16".
