10 Week Painting Class

Come join us for 10 weeks of painting lessons. Beginners are welcome to join in. This is a very fun filled atmosphere. You are guaranteed to learn a variety of techniques. This course is a ongoing course in which everyone learns at different skill levels and different mediums. Ann Brennan is the instructor for the class. Classes fill fast, so sign up early. Seats are filled on a first paid basis.

Summer is just around the corner, and so is Ann Brennan's Summer Class! Join her for an 8 week art class. A Basic Training Stained Glass Class

You've always wanted to learn to make a stained glass piece of art, and now you've got the chance! This class will teach you how to layout, cut, and construct your own stained glass panel. Available dates are listed in the drop-down menu.

Please note: Saturday classes will now take place over 2 Saturdays, and class will run from 9:00 - 1:00. The Monday & Tuesday classes will be held 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Hand Painted Plasma TV Frame (black)

Custom built for your TV and hand painted using the finest artist paint available. You pick the colors and we'll do the rest.
Several measurements will be required before construction begins. An IR repeater (not included in the price) will need to be put on to your TV so that your remote will still work after the frame is put on. We can provide this part ($99.00) for you, just ask.

Plasma TV frame with retractable Artwork

Plasma Tvs can now be framed using retractable art. Your Hand-Painted TV frame will be custom built to fit your TV. Your image will be transfered to canvas and mounted into the frame. You can even send us a family portrait. A remote will be provided to raise and lower the screen. A device will also be provided to allow your TV remote to work correctly.

Tower of Glass

This 4 hour class is one of the most requested classes at Rainbow. Please note: You must have completed the Basic Training Class or have a working knowledge of Stained Glass in order to enroll in this class. Class members need to bring 50 - 75 pieces of glass pre-foiled in silver foil. Your class cost includes tool use for the day and your copper pipe.

STAINED GLASS
BASIC TRAINING
It's an art form that dates back hundreds of years, and still inspires people with it's beauty. Sure, windows created with tiny pieces of foil-wrapped glass look intimidating, but our stained glass boot camp will take that intimidation and throw it out the window. Rainbow's new Basic Training instructor John Walker will teach you how to create a 10'" x 16" inch panel. You will learn to lay out a pattern, cut glass (we've got bandages just in case...), foil, solder, and finish off your project. The skills you learn in our Basic Training Class will enable you to make just about anything your heart desires, including those awe-inspiring church windows or Tiffany-style lamps!

Our basic training class is called that because, well, it's basic training! We're trying to make it easier and more convienent for everyone to attend class, so our Saturday classes are now 4 hours long, and spread out over two weekends. Saturday classes will be offered from 9:00 - 1:00, and our Monday/Tuesday classes will remain 5:00 - 9:00.

Generally, our Basic Training Classes are held the first two Saturdays of the month, and the first Monday & Tuesday. We try our best to stick to this, but sometimes holidays or scheduling conflicts will occur. Be sure to note the date and time of the class you are enrolling in, in case we needed to stray from that guideline.

We've also revamped the price structure to reflect the class changes! Class will now cost $150, and include all the supplies and tools you will need for your project. The only additional purchase you will need to make will be your glass!

Ok. I want to sign up. What do I do next?
Fantastic! We're happy to have you take the class! We are confident you will love the class, and be thrilled with how your project turns out. So here's what you need to do:

1. Choose your class.
At the bottom of this page, you'll find our online shopping cart. Simply search for "Stained Glass Basic Training" in the Search box, or choose Stained Glass Classes from the categories drop down menu. All available basic training classes will be listed within the drop-down menu.


2. Choose your pattern.
We have about 15 patterns available for class. When you select your pattern, you are more than welcome to
come in and use our computer to help select the glass for your piece. That leads us to the next step...

3.  Choose your glass.
We suggest you come in about a week before the start of your basic training class to choose your glass. We offer
our customers the ability to see what their pattern will look like in full color, without having to color
the entire pattern by hand. Our Rapid Resize program will let you select different glass types (Baroque,
wispy, cathedral, etc.) and colors. From there, we can help you select the glass for your project. We'll
wrap it, and store it in our classroom until your class meets. This way, you won't have to worry about
traveling with the glass or worse - accidentally breaking it!
All patterns are approximately 10" x 16".
4. Show up for class.
All you need to bring is your desire to learn, and maybe a snack or lunch (if you're signed up for the One Day Class). We'll have your tools and glass ready for your arrival!
